Use the selected product wording
Aveeno Daily Care uses unscented wording. Childs Farm Baby Soft Scent lists Parfum. Weleda Intensive Cream lists Parfum and fragrance constituents despite describing an absence of synthetic fragrance. These fields should remain separate; the site does not flatten them into a single “no fragrance” badge.
An absence claim is not an allergy test
A fragrance descriptor does not establish an individual’s tolerance or disclose every possible reason for a reaction. The site records the maker’s actual wording and ingredient list instead of predicting safety. A similar-looking fragrance-free variant needs its own exact product record before comparison.
A practical shopping filter
A buyer checking whether Parfum is listed can use the source-field finder without entering health information. On the selected Childs Farm and Weleda lists, the answer is that it is listed. That answers a label question. It does not decide whether the product should be used on a particular child.
A practical comparison
A filtering result should say “Parfum listed on this selected source” rather than “safe” or “unsafe”. That tells a reader exactly what was checked. If a retailer omits a list, absence from the retailer page is not proof that the ingredient is absent from the product. Use the exact maker list and supplied label for the missing field.
When the list changes
Compare the actual delivered pack rather than relying on an old screenshot or another country’s formula. If the maker changes the wording, save both versions and ask about the selected batch. Avoid replacing a precise ingredient field with vague labels such as natural, gentle or clean.
