A list is not a formula sheet

The public ingredient records identify named ingredients. They do not provide complete manufacturing percentages or a measured concentration of oat, sesame oil, lanolin or fragrance. An ingredient’s position does not supply an exact percentage that the site can use in a personal comparison tool.

Do not convert a featured ingredient

The Aveeno page highlights oats, Childs Farm highlights aloe and cucumber, and Weleda highlights calendula. Those marketing features are narrower than a full analytical specification. The site does not calculate which product contains more active material, has a stronger effect or will be tolerated from those headlines.

A source-check example

For the selected Weleda cream, the current list actually includes lanolin and hydrolyzed beeswax. Those are useful purchasing fields when verifying the exact formula requested. The same page does not establish their concentrations. Do not transfer an ingredient-absence claim from a different Weleda oil or lotion.

A practical comparison

A product page that highlights colloidal oatmeal does not establish grams of oats per bottle. Likewise, calendula in a product name does not establish a percentage. A comparison table can record “named ingredient present on current web list” and “percentage not established” as two distinct fields. That is more useful than inventing a concentration-based winner.

What to do with a missing field

Mark a percentage unknown rather than filling it from another retailer or an older package. If a professional needs quantitative information, the manufacturer is the appropriate source. This journal has not obtained batch assays, confidential formulas or independent clinical assessments.
